The theme of Russ' youth presentations focus on importantance of teen choices including: character, leadership, goal setting, bullying, testing success, and drug & alchohol awareness.

Soon after speaking at youth events, Russ found he would receive 100's of emails each week from teens requesting more information on success and goal setting. Parents and teachers also wrote asking for help locating materials to teach goal-setting to their teens in the classroom and at home. So, Russ wrote Invent Your Future: Take Your Life From The Ordinary To The Extraordinary. In his book, Russ set out to tackle teen success and goal-setting, breaking these intimidating subjects down into simple chapters which use stories, clear examples, and hands on activities making the concepts easy to teach - and understand!
