In
an effort to guarantee the best possible outcome of your presentation,
please use the following guideline of room and A/V requests.
They are sure to enhance your presentation. Remember
that Russ is flexible. His only concern is to do the
best program that he can do for your group. He does not want
to cause any additional work, but sometimes just a little
extra effort can mean a great deal to the final results.
The best presentation can be sabotaged by ineffective room
set-up. Please call to discuss any changes in the room
or A/V
set-up below with Russ beforehand.
I. STAGING
-
If
you are having a hypnosis show, you will need to provide
an adequate stage or space for this special type of performance.
At minimum, a 16' x 20' riser, or a platform big enough
to fit at least 20-30 chairs across the stage - one row
- in a wide arc. The bigger the stage the better.
Also, the bigger the stage, the more chairs (and volunteers)
that can be included in the hypnosis demonstration.
And YES, a school gymnasium will be just fine.
-
The client assumes the responsibility for the safety of
the riser or stage, steps to the stage, and the chairs to
be used during the performance. Please make sure all
equipment is good condition. With so many audience
participants, we do not want to take a chance of an
injury.
-
If you are having a non-hypnosis presentation (the Use
Your MIND show), although the presence of a stage or platform
will always add to the ambiance of the presentation, a
stage is not required. Russ is able to present in
almost any setting - even in the environment of a close
banquet or spread out gymnasium.
-
If a podium is being used for introductions, please set it back
a few feet from the front and to the side of the stage.
Or even better, get rid of the podium completely.
Russ does not need any sort of podium or table on the stage for
him. His presentation is completely self-contained.
II. LIGHTING
-
Since
Russ moves around during his presentation and is constantly
interacting with his audience, we have found it works
best if you leave the full house lights on during the
program. Besides, studies show that your group will
remember more and laugh more in the brightness.
III. AUDIO
-
For ALL programs including the "Magic
of the Mind" and "Comedy Hypnosis" presentations,
please provide Russ with WIRELESS hand-held
microphone. The microphone MUST be wireless.
Microphones with long cords are dangerous.
-
Russ
will bring his own music player. It is a computerized,
mini-disk system that will plug into your PA system.
Russ just needs an available XLR (Standard) microphone
jack to plug-in. Once an initial sound check has
taken place, Russ will be able to control all of
his own music cues, and volume via remote control.
-
In any case, remember that good sound is crucial to the
success of your program. If your sound system and
microphone are not adequate, borrow or rent quality equipment.
Please check these requirements with your sound tech or
feel free to have the sound tech call us at 1.800.381.5858
for further assistance.
